Kai Perfume-Get Closer to Nature

A temporary recluse from the busy city is what Kai perfume can offer you. With its fresh and natural aroma of gardenia, it brings you closer to nature and provides an escape from the stress that you have had for the day. As the name suggests, Kai means "Ocean" in Hawaiian language and is exactly what the perfume aims to bring you - nature.

With its floral yet not overwhelming scent, Kai perfume is best for daily use. It is perfect for that laid- back afternoon for a walk in the park or simply at home with a good book. You can also enjoy it while having coffee at work to ease your stress away. However, it can also be a good every day work perfume with the ranks of Ghost Perfume and other feminine brands.

The fragrance designer of this celebrity famous fragrance is Gaye Straza Rappaport. After a vacation in Hawaii, she wanted to capture the tropical aura of the beach and bring it back to the city. After developing the fragrance, she opened a shop in Malibu, California where she sold her first Kai perfume. After selling the boutique, she continued with the Kai perfume and beauty products to cater to the ever- growing market that has said to be of a cult following.

The cool and simplistic notes of the Kai perfume includes white flowers like jasmine, lily, and tuberose but is overpowered with gardenia which captures the serene floral scent of the Hawaiian islands. Celebrities with the likes of Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Charlize Theron, Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon are only among a few who have pledged their loyalty to this brand.

The Kai perfume actually started as oil, which opened many doors to other Kai products. One of which is the Kai body wash that has cucumber, ivy and comfrey for a laid back soak. While you are on it, complete the ambience with a Kai Nightlight Candle for intimate moments and travel. At home, you can have the Kai Moonlight candle shaped of the moon. Or you can have the smaller sized twilight candle which comes in four pieces and Kai matches.

The Kai Perfume oil which the Kai fragrance has stemmed from is still available in the market. It comes in a roll-on vial that is surely to be loved by you and everyone who comes close. Fresh and alluring, it is definitely a good touch up after a long day. Or you can have the Kai Perfume spray with you that comes along in a chic and simple yet sophisticated bottle for a day at the tropics - or almost. Kai Perfume Review

Kai is a fragrance created by Gaye Straza Rappaport, who wanted to capture the aroma of her vacations in Hawaii. It has something of a cult following (it was included in Style magazine’s 2002 list of 5 Great Cult Perfumes ) and has its own little celebrity fan base (Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Charlize Theron, and Naomi Watts are all rumored to wear it).

The notes are gardenia, jasmine, tuberose, and lily. Kai is a relatively simple, easy-to-wear scent. It starts with sharp green notes and gardenia. The sharpness fades, and the gardenia softens as it is joined by the other floral notes, but gardenia remains the prominent note. For some time I lived in a house in San Diego which had several gardenia bushes just beneath my bedroom window, and when they were in full bloom, I had to close my window at night because the scent was so strong it would bring on a headache.

Kai smells like gardenia, but it is not that gardenia. The green notes temper the sweetness of the florals, and once it calms it is very soft. It smells clean and fresh, but not aggressively so, and it does not smell at all soapy to me. Kai was originally released as a perfume oil. The lasting power is good, but like most oils it stays relatively flat and close to the skin. It comes in a 1 /8 oz roll-on for $45. I like Kai. For what it is, it is well done, but it is not a complex or unusual fragrance, and I’ve never been able to bring myself to spend even the $45. A small amount goes a reasonably long way, so I have contented myself with samples of the oil. A year or so back, I did buy the Body Glow, a light body mist with a silicone and jojoba oil base.

At the time, it smelled reasonably true to the scent, just much lighter, and for $28 for 4 ounces, it seemed like a bargain. This morning I am discovering that either I have a very bad memory and this is even more sheer than I recalled, or the Body Glow formula is not as stable as the oil. It is now so light that it is hard to make out the scent at all.

Kai is available at abeautifullife , apothia , beautyhabit , beautysak , eluxury , and luckyscent among others.
